Easy Peanut Butter Apple Dip
When I say this peanut butter apple dip is easy, I mean, it’s easy. Three ingredients easy. Three ingredients mixed up simply in a bowl easy. But it’s also delicious easy. And actually not bad for you easy.
My boys are big dippers in my house. If it can have a dip with it, they want a dip with it. Sour cream, guacamole, salsa, hummus, ranch, you name it. In fact we used to joke that my middle child, Elliot, would eat a dinner of dips if he was given the chance. That boy in particular loves all kinds of dips.
So most of the time, I give in my kids’ desires and give them this easy peanut butter apple dip. I don’t have to feel bad about it because it’s helping them eat fresh fruit and it loaded with protein from the peanut butter and yogurt.
So make today special and make a nice bowl of this peanut butter apple dip to share. (Also, I might add, this would be great for dipping other things into. Anything that you like peanut butter on: celery, carrots, pears, crackers, the sky’s the limit!)
(And another thing, you can completely customize this how you like. If you like you dip to be more peanut buttery, add more peanut butter. If you like it a little sweeter, add another tablespoon or two of honey. I normally just dollop, dollop, squirt when I make this, so my measurements are just a starting point. Have fun with it!)
(Also, one more aside, I used regular convention peanut butter in this recipe, but I’m pretty certain that other kinds of nut butters or natural peanut butter would work in this recipe, too. Also, greek yogurt or flavored yogurt would work as well. I would probably skip the honey if using a flavored and sweetened yogurt, like vanilla.)
- Add all ingredients into a bowl and stir until well mixed. Serve with apple slices.
