Peaceable Kingdom Valentines
This weekend was Valentine-making extravaganza.
4 kids with an average of 20 kids per class= 80 valentines.
SO MUCH FUN. Especially because I didn’t choose to make all those valentines from scratch this year.
This year we accomplished this goal by offering a Valentine Buffet. I laid out 4-5 options the kids could choose from. They loved being able to get specific with the kinds of valentines they gave to each of their different friends. We used several sets, two of them being from Peaceable Kingdom (who also happens to be our favorite cooperative game maker):
Cookies & Cream Scratch and Sniff Valentines
These chocolate scented valentines smell good enough to eat! Also, I like the fun, platonic messages on these valentines. I feel a little strange about my kid giving valentines that are mushy or overly romance-oriented.
As you can see, our baby bear was a *little bit* excited about her sweet treat Valentines.
Fairy Magic Rainbow Valentines
We also included these cute fairy magic rainbow valentines (which remind me of a much loved set of early-elementary books). Hold these valentines up to the light and see a rainbow through the lens…. Super fun!
What I enjoy about both sets of valentines is that they provide something unique, but without being trinkety. While the kids love the erasers, mini pads of papers, etc. that come with many valentines these days, generally after the newness wears off, those things are thrown in the trash anyway. And they are GREAT quality!
Get them in time for Valentine’s Day by ordering here.
Thanks a bunch to Peaceable Kingdom for working with us on this post!
