How to Celebrate Easter with your Family
Easter is just around the bend, and if you’re anything like us, perhaps you’re wondering- what can I do to help my kids understand and celebrate this incredibly important time in the life of the Church?
We’ve rounded up some of our best ideas and we’d like to share them with you!
1. Sense of the Resurrection
Why we love this: These 12 activities are totally hands-on and engage all of the senses while focusing in on the very heart of Easter!
2. Passion Week devotionals
Why we love this: Well, mostly because we wrote them ;). Our goal was to bring the Holy Week stories to life for our kids in ways that were fun and easy to understand.
3. Resurrection Eggs
Why we love this: Each day kids get to wake up to a new egg, which gives one more detail in the story leading up to the Resurrection.
4. Resurrection Basket
Why we love this: We love the intentionality and meaning of a Resurrection Basket (in lieu of an Easter basket). Use this opportunity to supply your kid new resources to help them grow in their relationship with God!
5. Illustrated Holy Week
Why we love this: Coloring is a common love for many kids, and this organization does a great job of pairing great family devotional content with fantastic coloring sheets.
6. Easter Family Devotional Book + Jesse Tree
Why we love this: I’m a huge fan of Little House Studio, and I just discovered her free (beautiful) Easter devotional that comes with Jesse tree ornaments and fun activities.
7. Make Easter Cookies
Why we love this: What kid doesn’t love baking cookies? And I love how this recipe and process engages all of the senses.
8. Make Hot Cross Buns
Why we love this: they are delicious!
