Valentine’s Day Papercraft
Have you ever been sitting around with the kids and get the idea to do a seasonal craft, only to discover that you don’t have any of the appropriate supplies on hand? That was my situation when I looked up “Valentine’s Day paper crafts”! There are so many cute things you can make with just construction paper and some basics like string, glue, staples, and tape!
I made a very cute paper heart chain (at least it was cute until my kids pulled on it and pulled the heart shape out of it!). Last year I made a different kind with interlocking hearts.
I also folded paper into heart shapes, which I remember doing as a kid. I think it might have worked better with slightly thinner paper. My boys liked these and turned them into oragami-heart-shaped-paper airplanes. Because, of course.
I also liked these projects:
Paper heart garland from How About Orange
“I love you this much” cards from A Day in My Life
Yarn and Paper valentines from Cubicle Chick
See! You don’t have to “be crafty”, or use paint or (gasp) glitter to make something sweet and memorable with your little ones!
