Happy Valen-slime’s Day! {Free Printable}
This year is actually the first year I have bought valentines for my school-aged boys to give out. I just didn’t have the time or energy to supervise the making of 40 homemade valentines! But when I found out that my niece needed just 12 valentines, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for some slimy valentine fun!
Making homemade slime is easy. This batch made enough to put a small amount in 12 snack sized plastic bags.
8 oz Elmer’s Glue
8 oz warm water
1 tsp Borax disolved in 2/3 cup water
food coloring if desired
Mix together the glue and the warm water. Add food coloring if desired. Stir and add the Borax solution. Eventually you will need to use your hands to get it mixed. Pour out any excess liquid. And there you have it! Super fun to play with slime! You can store slime in the fridge so it doesn’t get moldy.
After we were done making our slime, I printed out labels for the bags and wrote my niece’s name on them. She enjoyed decorating them with Valentine’s Day colors. I wrote a little warning on the back reminding parents to tell their children that slime is not for eating! We stapled the tags to the bags and now she is all set to go. You can print out the labels here to make you own Valen-SLIMES.
