Top 10 Late Night Snack Ideas
1. Frozen Grapes
I learned about this from a college roommate. Pop some red grapes in the freezer, and a couple hours later you have a delicious treat that satisfies the sweet craving but also is nutritious.
2. Peanut butter balls
We shared this as a kids after school snack, but why not as a late night snack too?
Why this isn’t the most healthiest snack that could be eaten, you can make it healthy. Whole wheat tortilla chips, 2% shredded cheese, black beans, avocado, and salsa is easy to make, fills the belly, and is super delicious.
4. Nuts and dried fruit
A little bit does a long way so if you feel snacky, this is definitely not the snack to go with :). But it does a great job of helping the late night hunger.
5. Tuna Salad + whole wheat crackers
You can make it your favorite way OR you can quickly mix up 2 cans of tuna, a big squirt of mayo, a smaller squirt of relish, a dash of garlic salt, and a handful of cashews. Easy peasy!
6. Ham or turkey roll up
Wrap a few pieces of lunch meat into large romaine lettuce leaves. I like to add a pickle in the middle sometimes if I want some extra crunch and flavor!
Whatever way you pop it (minus drenching it in butter), you can eat this until your heart is content. Perfect for munchies!
8. Dry cereal
My favorite to eat late at night is Quaker’s Cinnamon Life. 🙂 A good snack that won’t leave your fingers sticky– great for when you’re on the computer.
9. Handful of chocolate chips
Just make sure not to eat out of the bag :). If you like dark chocolate, that’s even better for you!
10. Ice cream
Okay, so this is so not healthy, but the list would not be complete without it. I eat a small bowl of ice cream most nights while I catch up on my feedly, and well, I just love it!
