I’ve been looking up some fun celebration drinks to do with the cousins at Christmas, and came across some cute ideas that I thought I’d share.
1. “Jingle Bell Juice” (aka Drinks with floating berries)
One part sprite + 3 parts pomegranate cranberry (or some other red) juice + floating raspberries= surprise deliciousness! I adapted it slightly from this post
2. Hot chocolate with a special “spoon”
The spoon could be a chocolate-dipped spoon, a mini candy cane, or a mini candy cane with a cake ball attached to the end of it. I vote for this one for us parents too!
3. Homemade hot apple cider
Down with those packets of powered apple cider! It’s super easy to make your own. Just heat up some bottled apple cider, add some caramel and a bit of cinnamon and serve. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and add a little more cinnamon on top. Mmmm. The kids will be super excited and you can rest assured that they are not drinking whatever is in those paper pouches.
1 quart eggnog
1 liter club soda
1/2 gallon peppermint ice cream
crushed candy canes (for garnish)
Which one will you choose?
