Play: Fourth of July Marble Painting
July 4th is right around the corner, so I decided it was high time to take down my Mother’s Day cards and put some patriotic decorations up instead (I’m a little late, I know). We made these festive marble paintings last year, and they have held up well enough for me to use again this year. I don’t have pictures of our whole process since I did this last year, but if you want more detailed information you can check out the tutorial I did before Valentine’s Day. I think you’ll get the hang of it!
- Tape a piece of paper onto the bottom of a box or plastic tub.
- Squirt paint onto the paper and add a handful of marbles.
- Have your child roll the marbles back and forth across the paper. Encourage them to tip the tub in different directions so all the lines aren’t going the same way.
- Remove paper, allow to dry, and enjoy!
