Grow: M&M Easter Story
Teaching about Easter to small children can be a challenge sometimes. Last year, we did homemade Resurrection Eggs (which we’ll do again this year), but I found this neat poem that uses candy to get across the message of Easter. And you really can’t go wrong with candy when you want to get the attention of children (or adults for that matter).
You can do this with one candy, but I think four is a nice treat (but not too indulgent to do every day). The poem tells you how to orient the M&M.
The Sweet Truth of Easter
the best news you’ll ever hear.
~It’s about Jesus dying on the cross
so that we could be brought near.
the “M” become a “W”an “E” and then a “3″
God’s everlasting love and His eternal plan.
and the way God rescued sinful man
By His death, His children He did save
as He died in our place.
and the miracle of the resurrection
so we can see Him face to face.
is worthy of our worship and praise
and calls us to be His witnesses
around the world for all of our days.
